Inhotim is an absolute dream for all nature, art and architecture lovers.

Brazilian billionaire Bernardo Paz has opened this 140 hectares art city in 2006, to host his collection. The botanical garden was conceived by Brazilian landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx. It is hosting 20 galleries, hundreds of artists, 1300 art pieces, 1400 palms species (world largest palm trees collection), orchids, bromeliads, cactus, water lilies, forest, artificial lakes, black swans…

We can discover masterpieces from international and Brazilian artists including Yayoi Kusama, Olafur Eliason, Anish Kapoor and Claudia Andujar…

 

How to visit:

  • 1 hour drive (60 km) from Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais).

  • Belo Horizonte is the third city of Brazil, at only 1 hour flight from Rio or Sao Paulo.

  • If you want to visit everything, it’s better to spend at least 2 days there.
